Teddy bears are teaching our children. Most teachers are pulling out all the stops in these days to engage children with learning. That includes adding elements bear for them to count, to help them to read and just about anywhere else in the class that can find a place for them.
Elementary teachers are also including teddy bears as thematic units and inviting children to bring their Teddies to school some days. Everyone knows that his early high school years are the most frightening to a child and bringing a friendly face to the class might help settle a little faster. Children love their bears and seem to talk more when they have an element of comfort.
If you are a parent of a child who does not want to read to you every day try to encourage him/her to read their teddy bears. This helps to know that they are still reading aloud, but they are not forcing them to do something they don’t want. Reading the photo books on Teddy bears you can keep their interest, but have them discuss what they just read with you. There are also Talking teddy bears that will help tutors to encourage your child to do the problems. This is just like the doll “Teddy Ruxpin” old, except that it makes every topic. As the child gets the right problem the bear raises a flag up into the air.
Teddy bears are also used as rewards for a child who does good work. You might find Teddy bear stickers, plush teddy bears, notebooks in bear and many other items. Be sure not to give Awards every day or they’ll get use to it. Give them as a reward every once in a while so I’m always hard trying to earn those teddy bears
